Welcome to a catalogue of pictures and articles. I have always been told that I can see 'instantly' the good picture in my mind's eye. This unfortunately combined with a chronic and absolute inability to be able to draw or paint, and worse, unable to play my beloved music, so knowing my limitations, photography became my form of expression from an early age. A poor substitute but now digital photography has granted me much more scope for impressionism and a degree of solace. My hope is that it also brings a little happiness to others. I have also written predominantly humour since the age of 7, but also edited several magazines on the natural world, travel and an awful lot of trivia. Those who know me, those who truly know me well, realise that apart from writing and photography, I am a git who has remained steadfastly useless to humanity since birth.

I remain fascinated by everything to do with the 'natural world' and the sciences, although some of these such as quantum-physics or maths are not given to photography (I claim to love these subjects, not understand them!). Every creature shown in the 'Pictures' gallery are totally wild (& that includes some of my friends), no captive, tame or ringed, or taken in a refuge. People though, are the most interesting of all subjects, and wedding photography is the ultimate. To photograph a couple on their big day is more important than getting a picture of the President. There is no second chance.

(I regret that I am fully booked and no further wedding or general photography can be arranged until 2012. The only possible exceptions that can be reluctantly considered and only off-peak season, are from friends, from personal recommendations, or from Hayling Island, or corrupt Russian oligarchs with too much cash. My policy is to simply record the day, with just the occasional recommendation. The wedding day itself should be joyous and as stress-free as is possible, as should the build-up and the memories. I hope this is always reflected in the pictures.

A typical wedding package will include from 300 up to 600 prints, DVD slideshow set to music, DVD movie, DVD discs with all of the pictures allowing the bride and groom and friends to print their own, or use for email, with no copyright. There may also be photographs of the bride and groom as they prepare for the wedding day, posed pictures and natural, and simply recording the events. Also, a 'digital photobook' recording the wedding day. calendars, mugs, T shirts, greeting cards in fact any gift that the bride and groom require as a record of the wedding day. If however, a smaller, simpler programme is desired, this too may be accommodated. I am a 100% traditionalist in my photography, but also use digital techniques where I believe the beauty or the subject matter can be enhanced. Most families now bring a good camera to a wedding, so it is important for the professional to try and bring out some 'magic'.
